This page is for people who use the Acado app (com.acado.app on Google Play, Acado ERP on the App Store) as a staff member, student or parent, and want their account or data deleted.
Who holds your account
Your Acado account is created and managed by your institution, which owns the records kept about you. Because of that, deletion normally happens through the institution: when you leave, it closes your account, and your record is retained or removed under its own rules and the law (for example, fee receipts and academic records have statutory retention periods).
How to request deletion
Either:
- Ask your institution's office to close your account and remove your data. It can do this from its Acado administration screens. This is the quickest route.
- Write to us at [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion", from the email address or phone number registered on your account, giving your name, your institution and your role. We confirm the request with you and with your institution, since the institution must authorise removal of records it is responsible for.
What is deleted
- Your login and profile, and the link between your person and your institution's records in Acado.
- Device tokens used for push notifications, and any photos or documents you uploaded yourself.
- Diagnostic data tied to your device, which in any case expires after 90 days.
What may be kept
Records that the institution must retain by law or for its own legitimate purposes, such as fee receipts, attendance registers and academic results, remain with the institution in a form that no longer allows you to log in. Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle within 35 days.
Timing
We act on confirmed requests within 30 days and tell you when it is done. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete your account; please use one of the routes above.
